According to Cal. Vehicle Code § 21658, whenever any roadway has been divided into two or more clearly marked lanes for traffic in one direction, a vehicle shall be driven as nearly as practical entirely within a single lane and shall not be moved from the lane until such movement can be made with reasonable safety.

California Vehicle Code § 22107 prohibits drivers from turning a vehicle from a direct course or moving right or left upon a roadway until such movement can be made with reasonable safety and then only after the giving of an appropriate signal.

Through negotiation, we reached a settlement agreement with the opposing driver's insurance provider, securing compensation for the medical expenses, property damage, and pain and suffering endured by our client. The opposing driver acknowledged fault in accordance with California law and accepted liability for the losses. Our client was entitled to compensation for his bodily injuries, including economic and non-economic damages.
